What’s New With Isobelle?
You found me! Congratulations, now you get all the good stuff! I'm a new indie author. I love reverse harem novels, if you don't know what those are, check them out, I also love paranormal, fantasy, and urban fantasy. I'm a huge fan of #whychoose, so if the muses speak I'll write it. It's my goal to bring you stories full of magic, fun plots and of course sex! I’m looking forward to sharing my future stories as they come to fruition, but in the meantime, check out some of my featured publications and more personal blog posts below.
Writing all of the words...
Wanna know my secret?
I started writing out of a love of words. I've been reading and dabbling in writing for years. Books gave me the chance to slip away to a new world for a couple of hours. In college, I absorbed classes on creative writing, comparative literature. All of it to further my quest to become the best author I could. What I bring to you in the pages I write is a piece of myself, and I hope you enjoy it.
Who is Isobelle Carmichael?
I’ve been writing creatively since elementary school. My love for writing was sparked by my love for reading. I love all the words. I can't living without doing something creative. When I'm not doing book related things, I'm on stage. I have a passion for musical theatre, and enjoy singing, acting and dancing.
I was a poet for the longest time because I didn’t think that I could actually write anything longer than that or the occasional short story. So, writing became both a way to prove myself wrong, as well as another form of therapy.
I plan to be in this game for a while there are too many genres I must explore. All the the while, I want to put the passion that I have for reading and writing out there for other people to enjoy. For me reading is an escape, and if I can give that to someone for a few hours then my goal is accomplished.
When I was a child I used reading as sanctuary, and that still translates into my adult life. However, I’m no longer sitting in my closet trying to figure out how to get to Narnia or waiting for my letter to Hogwarts.
My fondest wish is to write for all sorts of different people. I want to be very inclusive in my writing because I feel like there’s a place for that. I think that everybody should be able to pick up a book and find somebody that they identify with. I also want to write characters that are realistic even if they’re in a fantastical world, which means touching on subjects that might be disturbing to some, but is a way of life to others. Life isn't all rainbows and lollipops. We have to have a storm every once in a while. That's what makes the reward sweeter!
Stay in the know!
I love to hear from my readers it's one of the best things about being an indie author.
